Former Chicago Cubs RHP Glen Hobbie died recently at his home in Springfield, IL. He was 77 years old. Hobbie was the anchor of the pitching staff on some very bad Cubs team in the late 50's and early 60's. His best season was 1959, when he went 16-13 with a 3.69 ERA. His lifetime record was 62-81, 3.69.
