After a slow start at High Class A Daytona, Cubs #1 prospect SS Javier Baez is starting to put it together. Baez recently had a 4 HR 7 RBI night in Florida State League play. Through 61 games with the D-Cubs Javier is batting .277 with 13 HR and 44 RBI's, also 17 doubles, 4 triples, and 46 runs.
